luscious Chocolate-Pistachio Covered Orange Cream Popsicles? Yes please!
Summer is all about finding ways to beat the heat, and lemme tell ya’ll, it. is. hot. here in Fresno – with highs reaching past 111° F ????
With that being said, these popsicles sure come in handy when you want a cool, refreshing snack! The best part? 5 ingredients are all you need, and your freezer does most of the work! Grab a cold bevy and let’s get to making the best Chocolate-Pistachio Covered Orange Cream Popsicles!
5-ingredient popsicles + a few of my favorite things
Ya’ll, I really love popsicles. I eat them all year round (I’ve been known to go through more than one box of popsicles in just a day!), but especially when the weather warms and the days get longer. I also really love the combination of coconut + orange + chocolate. As you can probably imagine, creamy chocolate-orange popsicles that just so happen to also be vegan-friendly are pretty hard to come by. So instead of spending my days scouring through the freezer aisle, I’ve decided to just make my own! And might I add, these are better than anything you’ll find at the grocery store. These 5-ingredient popsicles contain:
-
Fresh orange juice + fresh orange zest
-
silky coconut cream
-
coconut sugar
-
vanilla extract
-
chocolate covered nuts
how to make Chocolate-Pistachio Covered Orange Cream popsicles:
I love popsicles because they’re so easy to prepare! The only disadvantage is waiting for them to freeze – which is why I recommend making a second (and maybe even third) batch before your first runs out. That way, your freezer is always stocked and you’re never without this tasty summertime treat! Here’s how to make them:
1. Blitz your chocolate covered nuts in the food processor:
Alternatively, you can just take out your aggression on them and give ’em a good whack with the back of a knife, a wooden spoon, or heck … even a hammer. Set those aside.
2. blend:
Place the coconut cream, orange juice, orange zest, sugar, and vanilla extract in a blender and blend until smooth. You can also whisk together the ingredients in a large bowl if you prefer.
3. pour:
When you add the chocolate covered nuts into the popsicles depends on the type of molds you’re using (full directions are in the recipe box below). That being said, after you’ve blended your ingredients, pour the mixture into popsicle molds and place in the freezer until frozen. Once frozen, remove from the molds and ENJOY!

Chocolate-Pistachio Covered Orange Cream Popsicles
Ingredients
- ½ cup Setton Farms Dark Chocolate Nut Blend
- 1 cup coconut cream or full fat coconut milk
- 1 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice about 3 oranges, plus the zest of 1 orange
- ¼ cup coconut sugar or maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Place the chocolate covered nuts into a food processor and pulse until a crumb forms, but do not over-pulse. Set aside
- Place the coconut cream, orange juice, orange zest, sugar, and vanilla extract in a blender and blend until smooth. You can also whisk together the ingredients in a large bowl if you prefer.
- If using popsicle molds that stand straight up (like a cup you pour into), sprinkle a few teaspoons of the chocolate covered nut mixture into the mold. Next pour the coconut-orange mixture into the popsicle molds filled to the brim and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- If using a mold that lays flat (like the video above), then pour the coconut-orange mixture into the molds filled to the brim. Place in the freezer until partially solidified, about 1 hour. Sprinkle the chocolate covered nut mixture into the top half of each popsicle and gently pat in using your hands. Place back into the freezer for another 3 hours, preferably overnight.
- Enjoy!
