the best homemade snack mix
Homemade snack mix is one of my favorite things to make during this time of the year. I love making a huge batch to snack on while watching my favorite Holiday movies and lounging by the fireplace – it’s the perfect accompaniment to a glass of wine or your favorite brew, too! During Christmas, I always triple the recipe to package into cute mason jars wrapped with twine for a fun, homemade gift! Trust me when I say your friends and family will request it every year … it’s so good!
Grab a drink and let’s make the best Cajun-Style Snack Mix!
what’s in cajun-style snack mix?
The best thing about snack mix is that you can customize it to your liking because the flavor is really all in the Cajun-Style spice mix. I like to add a variation for different textures from crackers to nuts! Here’s what I find works best:
- Bugles
- Vegan-friendly Chex-Style Cereal: Please see my notes in the recipe regarding this
- Pretzels
- Variety of Nuts
- Rye Chips: Yep, the Gardetto brand! They’re accidentally vegan! Although the chips contain Worcestershire sauce, it is free from anchovies!
- Oyster Crackers
