Sweet Chili Habanero Glazed Cauliflower Wings
I know, I know…cauliflower wings have been “a thing” for quite some time now, but I’m barely jumping on the bandwagon.
To be honest, I was always skeptical of the idea of cauliflower mimicking a wing, but Ashlee made some delicious cauliflower wings a few weeks ago and my uncertainty of this popular vegan food trend immediately went away.
Now I know it’s the new year and you’re all promising to eat healthier, but I just couldn’t help myself. These sweet chili habanero glazed cauliflower wings are the best thing that’s happened to 2017 so far.
You’ll start with a coating of flour and cornstarch and then batter the cauliflower wings in a spicy tempura batter.
Once they are coated, they’re deep fried to a golden crisp and then tossed in the sweet chili habenero glaze.
You drooling yet? Because I am.
If you’re hosting a Superbowl party or attending one this year and don’t want to show up empty handed, these sweet chili habanero glazed cauliflower wings are the perfect party treat!
Theyre’re easy to make, require just a few ingredients and can be fried or baked (for all you health nuts out there).

This looks delicious but I was wondering what vegan fish sauce brand is there? Never heard of it.
Laura,
Thank you! If you can’t find any vegetarian fish sauce at your local health food store or Asian market, you can buy the brand we used in this recipe! It’s available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DINZQGI. It’s delicious and I know the company is expanding, so keep an eye out for it 🙂
Also, you can substitute the vegan fish sauce for soy sauce
Hope this helps!
Wow that really looks fantastic. The recipe says 1/4 cornstarch. Is that 1/4 cup cornstarch?
Dan, hello and thank you! Yes, it’s 1/4 cup cornstarch 🙂
What is and where does one get tempura batter?
Hello! Tempura batter is mainly just a mixture of cornstarch and water 🙂 you can find it in most grocery stores in the Asian section or at most Asian food markets. If you aren’t able to find it, you can simply make your own with 1-2 tablespoons cornstarch and 1 cup flour. Hope this helps!

Seriously amazing! Don’t change anything unless you are a wimp. I had it over rice and it was a perfect dinner meal! I gave some to my toddler with out the sauce just the battered cauliflower and he ate all of it! Thank you for such a delicious recipe!
Hahahahha “unless you are a wimp” ???? love this review! And so happy your toddler enjoyed the crispy cauliflower as well ♥️
